If

If I stepped in the pine
And grabbed a branch
Covered in glitter
Would you stop and stare?
If I reached the very top
Birds flying and chirping
And watched the sun go down
Would you still stop and stare?
If I fell asleep on a branch in a canopy of leaves 
While the crickets chirped
Would you stop and stare?
If I took a pinecone right out of the tree
As fresh as spring air
Would you stop and stare?
Or would you smell the pine of the woods
